FAQ
How do I apply for an internship?
Applications for next summer’s internships open in October. To apply, search for “Internship” on our career site. You’ll be asked to provide some information about yourself and to upload a resume, if you have one.
Do all Symetra internship applications open on the same day?
Not necessarily. Some internship opportunities may be posted in early October and some later in the month, so please check back regularly.
Do I need prior internship experience?
Not at all! While previous internship experience can be helpful, it’s not required. We’re looking for curious, motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow — whether it’s your first internship or your third.
What’s the interview process like?
Our interview process is designed to be simple and accessible. It typically begins with an audio-only conversation with one of our recruiters. If selected to move forward, you’ll have one or two video interviews with the hiring manager and team members. This is all conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams.
Can I apply if I’m graduating this year?
Absolutely! Many of our interns are recent graduates. If you're looking to gain hands-on experience and explore career paths post-graduation, our internship program is a great fit.
